July 2003 - Re-launch of web site
The Lucy Huntington Partnership has always been extremely busy but half way through 2003 the range of work being undertaken and the variety of ongoing projects has probably never been greater. The re-launch of the web site reflects the diversity of the work.
July 2003 - RHS Wisley
The formal opening of the completed Herb Garden designed by Lucy Huntington took place on July 3rd. Wisley Curator Jim Gardener enthused over the new design which has broken away from the traditional squares and rectangles by introducing a pattern based upon circles. The full range of herbs which can be grown in the U.K. are on display, with areas devoted to all the major categories of herbs, i.e. culinary, medicinal etc. It is anticipated that the new garden will be a major draw for Wisleys 650,000 annual visitors.
May 2003 - Low allergen gardening
The tenth anniversary of the first Low Allergen Garden at Chelsea Flower Show when Lucy Huntington designed and exhibited with the National Asthma Campaign the worlds first Low Allergen Garden focusing on the needs of gardeners for whom asthma and hay fever can limit the enjoyment of their gardens and gardening. The interest in the subject continues with a further reprint of Lucys 1998 definitive book Creating a Low Allergen Garden published by Mitchell Beazley - see publications.
April 2003 - Major private estate in the USA
April 2003 saw the tenth anniversary of the first visit to our Illinois project where a unique landscape and garden is being created for a private client. Over the ten years an amazing landscape has emerged covering some 800 acres. The layouts and the designs are heavily influenced by European gardens and landscapes but have now evolved using a vernacular specific to the site. The project has developed a scope and life all of its own and reflects the owners passion for planting trees and creating a totally unique landscape.

June 2002 - The Hurlingham Club
Since 1995 Lucy Huntington has been horticultural and garden design consultant to the Hurlingham Club in London and has been responsible for the designs for a range of projects which have upgraded many areas of the grounds and gardens. The Club has now embarked on a further major building project with input from Lucy to develop the gardens, landscape and water feature which will surround the new extension opening in 2004.
June 2000 - Pilgrims Hospice, Ashford, Kent
Lucy Huntington is currently working on the design for the gardens which will surround the new Hospice due for completion this autumn.
June 2000 - Wye College Merger Garden
Work is well advanced for the installation of the Chelsea Flower Show garden on a permanent site in one of the modern quadrangles at Wye College to celebrate the merger with Imperial College on 1st August 2000.
May 2000 - RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Lucy Huntington's design for the Wye College display in the new Lifelong Learning Pavilion was awarded a Silver Gilt medal. The design was of an apothecary garden combined with modern medicinal herbs which demonstrated the important links between horticulture and medicine.
